Starting from Munnar, you can drive the 29 kilometers to Yellapetty, taking in the beautiful scenery and possibly seeing wild elephants as you go. Stops along the way include Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Dam, three of Munnar's most famous vistas. After passing past Yellapetty town, the track winds its way into the thick Shola forests, where it follows winding, steep slopes that eventually lead to breathtaking vistas from the mountaintop. The trail ends at Top Station, where the car that picked you up will be ready for your return to Munnar, after winding its way through verdant tea estates.
